A Singaporean health technology company, Genie Health, is set to broaden the application of agentic AI within primary healthcare settings. The goal is to alleviate the burden of administrative tasks while supporting stronger connections between patients and their care providers. This initiative follows a recent $3 million seed funding campaign, spearheaded by the Nadathur Family Office, an investment entity established by Infosys Technologies co-founder Nadathur S. Raghavan.

The company is constructing a full platform designed to assist individuals in organizing their health data and enable medical professionals to deliver more tailored treatment. At its core is the Genie app, which compiles medical records, lab results, fitness tracker information, and family health histories into a secure digital vault named Health Locker.

Operational Mechanics

The application is available without cost on both iOS and Android systems. It processes collected data to detect personal health trends, produce customized recommendations, and address user health inquiries. Individuals maintain full authority over their shared health information, determining recipients and duration, with the option to withdraw permissions immediately, as explained by Sandeep Suvarna, co-founder and chief marketing officer of Genie Health.

While the app provides AI-driven suggestions, these serve only informational purposes—clinical judgments remain exclusively within the domain of healthcare professionals. Additional security measures include data encryption, Singapore-based server hosting, and continuous AI performance monitoring to ensure accuracy and prevent irregular operations.

Widening Implementation

For medical practitioners, the SmartCare system employs agentic AI to streamline repetitive patient interactions, such as appointment coordination and follow-up scheduling. By merging extended patient histories with wearable device metrics, clinicians gain a more holistic perspective of patient wellness beyond individual visits.

Singapore remains the primary market focus, though expansion opportunities across the Asia-Pacific region are being explored. Concurrently, the company aims to bolster its AI development and enlarge its teams dedicated to product innovation, engineering, and healthcare expertise, all based in Singapore.

Anand Nadathur, principal of the Nadathur Family Office, will assume a board of directors position at Genie Health following the investment. The funding will help address Singapore’s increasing demand for streamlined primary care, where roughly one-third of residents manage at least one chronic health condition.
