Halloween-themed pre-workouts hit shelves

Fitness brands are releasing Halloween-themed pre-workouts and energy shots to coincide with the spooky season. 5-hour Energy, Bucked Up, and Dark Labs have all launched new products, reflecting a trend of pairing functional supplements with nostalgic seasonal flavors.

5-hour Energy’s First Halloween Pack

5-hour Energy has introduced its Halloween Variety 4-Pack, the brand’s first limited-edition set for the season. The US brand notes that the launch offers a zero-sugar alternative to the roughly 745.8 million pounds of candy Americans buy annually. The four distinct flavors include Ghoulish Grape, which delivers a bold burst of juicy grape flavor; Cobweb Candy, a sweet cotton candy profile inspired by Halloween carnivals; Fright-Fetti, a birthday cake mix with vanilla frosting notes and celebratory sprinkles; and Candy Cauldron, a sweet and tangy fruity candy blend for candy lovers.

The 4-pack features four Extra Strength 2 fl. oz. shots. Each contains 230 mg of caffeine, B vitamins, and zero sugar or calories.

Bucked Up’s Cross-Product Halloween Line

Bucked Up has unveiled its “Limi-Dead Edition,” a Halloween-themed lineup spanning multiple products. Instead of a single seasonal flavor, the brand introduced festive tastes across its entire pre-workout powder and ready-to-drink beverage lines. The seasonal lineup pairs five established formulas with new tastes, including the flagship Bucked Up powder in Peach Rings, the higher-stimulant Woke AF powder in Jacked-O’-Lantern (cranberry orange), and the nootropic-focused BAMF powder in Tiger’s Blood (strawberry coconut).

The brand also added Franken Juice, a caramel apple flavor featuring orchard apple and buttery caramel notes, across all five pre-workout powders and its ready-to-drink energy drink. Caffeine content varies by formula from 200 mg to 400 mg per serving.

“Franken Juice has been a fan-favorite fall pre-workout flavor for years, so bringing it to our energy drink lineup for Halloween was a natural next step,” says Erin Bettner, chief marketing officer of Bucked Up.

Dark Labs’ High-Potency Halloween Pre-Workout

Dark Labs has released its Crack Halloween Edition, a limited-run pre-workout available in 25-serving containers. The high-potency formula is designed for intense training and mental focus, combining a heavy-duty pump matrix with a multi-stage energy blend. Each 22.4 g scoop is formulated for vascular health and endurance, delivering 8,000 mg of L-citrulline, 4,000 mg of beta-alanine, and 1,500 mg of agmatine sulfate to support nitric oxide synthesis, muscle hydration, and lactic acid buffering, along with 300 mg of L-norvaline and 100 mg of pink Himalayan salt.

The stimulant blend includes a total of 550 mg of caffeine sources, comprising 300 mg caffeine anhydrous, 150 mg caffeine citrate, and 100 mg dicaffeine malate, yielding 450 mg of net active caffeine. The formula also contains N-phenethyldimethylamine citrate, L-tyrosine, and alpha yohimbine.

The energy and focus blend also include 500 mg of N-phenethyldimethylamine citrate, 300 mg of English walnut bark extract (Juglans regia), 2,000 mg of L-tyrosine, 150 mg of theobromine, 50 mg of kanna extract (Sceletium tortuosum), and 1 mg of alpha yohimbine (90% rauwolscine). Due to the potency of the ingredients, the brand advises assessing tolerance with a lower dosage before full use. The product is available in Lemon Twist, Cotton Candy, and Raspberry Lemonade flavors.
