In Mexico, zero.9% of students in lower secondary and 4.8% in upper secondary preliminary education repeated a grade in 2019, in comparison with 1.9% and 3% respectively on average across OECD countries. Boys are extra probably to repeat a grade at lower secondary initial education than women. In Mexico, 67% of repeaters at decrease secondary stage have been boys, higher than the OECD common of 61%.
